Real Estate Websites Are Reporting High Traffic And Record Revenues

Despite this current economic downturn, there are some real estate websites that are faring quite positively during this time. At the top of the pile is Trulia. Trulia, Inc. is a national residential real estate search site that was started in San Francisco in 2005. It was a venture capital-backed startup. According to Comscore, Trulia had 2.58 million visitors in the month of October, which unbelievably was one hundred percent higher than October of last year. Trulia’s officials report that their website receives five million hits per month.

Trulia’s revenue comes mostly from advertising and Realtor membership payments. Its co-founder and C.O.O. Sami Inkinen claims that their revenue is growing by double digits each month, and that they expect the company to become profitable by the first half of 2009. Two other Real Estate websites that are doing remarkably well are a real estate brokerage site named ZipRealty, and the national commercial Real Estate search site named LoopNet Inc.

Don’t confuse a loan preapproval with a loan prequalification!

Don’t confuse pre-qualification with pre-approval. If a lender pre-qualifies you for a loan, the lender is saying that based on the information you provided, you will probably be approved for a loan. Pre-approval indicates that the lender has examined your financial records and has determined that it will approve a loan up to a specific amount of money. Pre-approval is like having cash in hand. To provide final approval, all the lender needs to do is determine whether the value of the collateral (the appraised value of the property) is sufficient to cover the amount of the loan. Summer in Andover and North Andover

I just returned from a few days off and once again was reminded of the amenities and lifestyle we enjoy here in New England. After considering many possible trips and tourist destinations, we decided to stay close to home after all. It was a wise decision. With less than 2 hours driving time we were able to enjoy so much of what summer in New England has to offer. After celebrating the local July 4th activities we spent a few days at a mountain lake in New Hampshire enjoying swimming, boating and hiking. We then made a quick stop back in Andover and headed back on the road. Once again with an easy 2 hour drive, we arrived on the spectacular Rhode Island coastline. We enjoyed beautiful beaches, local seafood, some golf and a little tennis. We watched others enjoy fishing, sailing and kayaking. New England truly is a very special place and here in Andover, North Andover and Boxford Massachusetts we are in the heart of all the region has to offer. "BIG MAX," the official RE/Max Hot Air Balloon took flight under blue skies this first day of summer 2008! Visitors quickly gathered to enjoy tethered rides at Smolak Farms annual Strawberry Festival. Procedes will benefit the Fund for Arts in Education in the North Andover Public Schools. Paulette Zuena and ReMax Partners in Andover, MA sponsored the event. Children and adults of all ages enjoyed juicy strawberries, hay rides and sunny weather to celebrate the new season.
